I write short fiction and have a great appreciation for the short film--so much to convey in such a limited space! On the other hand, even though the time frame is so short, sustaining interest and tension for that long in one physical space--albeit one that's moving through a larger space--is so tough to do in film, and yet this one pulls it off. The characters here are wonderfully drawn. We know these people--heck, I've *been* these people--and they are heartbreaking even as you want to smack them. The sight of the busy road as they are about to emerge from the forest--that's particularly poignant for me. Anyway, great job from everyone. I look forward to seeing more from all involved.
